SteelSeries Spectrum 7XB review, should you buy this XBOX 360 wireless headset ?

SteelSeries release its latest XBOX 360 gaming headset, Spectrum 7XB that comes with a ExactSND and LiveMix, if you still wonder should you buy this gaming headset, here is our SteelSeries Spectrum 7XB review : In term of design, SteelSeries Spectrum 7XB is come with a very neat – well made headset with high quality plastic and very durable. but in contrast SteelSeries Spectrum 7XB is also comes with some weight.

Both side of phones have a SteelSeries logos, with the right pad controller buttons including volume increase, volume decrease, headphone on/off, ExactSND that is a preset equalizer button and also LiveMix that is a balance control between MIC and game sound. Since SteelSeries Spectrum 7XB is a budget headset so you cannot have a lithium ion battery (What !) what you’ll need are 2 of AAA battery that in my opinion, I don’t like it since it would cause weight on your headset and it’s not so comfortable to wear a heavy weight headset especially for a gaming headset that you may wear it couple hours a day. But in contrast if you are looking for a budget XBOX 360 wireless headset, SteelSeries Spectrum 7XB is one of the choice, it also comes with a wireless transmitter base for PC or Mac as well. So should you buy it ?

In my opinion, even it has been labeled as wireless gaming headset, but I think it is not the true wireless since it has to be plugged with XBOX 360 controller via a voice regulator cable. But with the price under 100 USD. This is one of an interesting stereo gaming headset, but if I were you I will add more money and looking for a budget virtual surround gaming headset such as Chimaera or you may want to check out Ear Force X41.
