Beside of its downsides such as no optical out, no virtual surround (my AVR can decode that), and auto shutdown is too sensitive (I don’t know what to do with this, it could be an annoying problem, but I have a willing to try), here is a plus side of this headphones, I have researched :

1. Sennheiser RS 180 is a good audio quality headphones, I am not a big fan of a dark tone headphones but for a movie watching and gaming as priorities, I think a dark tone headphones could be a very good headphones, I don’t want to hear a disturbing high tone of broken glasses, or booming.
2. Sennheiser RS 180′s RF stand could be use with many headphones, so it means that, in a future, when I move in to my new condo, I can buy another pair of Sennheiser RS series for my girlfriend without any new pair of headphones buying, just an addition headphones (we don’t want to cause a problem with our neighbors), and I think this is very convenience.
3. For PS3 gaming, I know that the price of Sennheiser RS 180, I can buy a good new true 5.1 gaming headset, but I already have an AVR that can simulate a surround sound for any headphones and I don’t want to waste my money on a new decoder for headset that comes in a pack, and also I believe, using a audio headphones for gaming will give you a better audio quality. And I never use a voice chat since I am not a native english speaker and my internet connect cannot handle a NAT type that allow voice chat.
So my aim for Sennheiser RS 180 is about movie watching, single player gaming (multiplayer is ok too) and perhaps a loud wireless music listening). I’ve a PS3 Sony official gaming headset, and I have to say, it works pretty well but its audio quality is intolerant, its hi-tone is too high but for the price under 100 USD, I think it is acceptable.
