while with a “True Surround” headset, you will get at least 4 tiny speakers on each phone, this virtual surround might be good in term of price, it would help gamers to get a cheap price surround gaming headset, but in contrast this technology can also confuse some one who is looking for a true surround gaming headset, that’s in my opinion, is a better quality surround system (I may an old fashion about this ! but I still believe when it comes to audio stuffs, I think virtual is not what I am looking for).

the first one is Turtle Beach Ear Force series that offer a good quality wireless gaming headset with a good price and good design, and Ear Force X41 is one of the best selling and one of the most popular surround headset for XBOX 360, if you are looking for a cheap but still a true surround headset, Ear Force X41 is the answer. But this headset is also an outdated release (if you are looking for one of the best gaming headset from Turtle Beach, I think you may want to checkout MW3 Ear Force Delta , it is one of the best and also a collectible headset). If you are looking for something new and up-to-date technology, you may want to try Chimaera 5.1, it is around 35 USD more expensive than Force X41, but what you’ll get is a 5.8 GHZ transmission, so you don’t have to worry about wifi or any radio interfering that happened with many wireless headset, but the downside of this Razer Chimaera 5.1 is, it is not a true surround headset, it comes with only one speaker on each cup, if possible, I preferred a true surround headset, but with this price range, I believe it is impossible. I mean two drivers surround headset is acceptable with a software helps but it could be better for a true surround.
