Virtual surround vs True surround, which headset to buy ?
Personally, I don’t like a virtual surround technology, since I have been trying with a Sony PS3 wireless headset and I have to say, it is not as good as I expected, it may works as a stereo headset for gaming, but I don’t think you can buy below 100 USD stereo gaming headset and expect to use it as a true surround headset with surround decoder program or hardware. But Turtle Beach didn’t think a true surround is the only way to enjoy a surround sound technology, so they try to creates a 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound with surround sound processor that delays sound sources with HRTF & ambiance theory. What do you think ? Do you like a virtual surround technology ? I think it is great, I tried it with my AKG K702, and I have to say I am quite impressed ! Like I said it may not as accurate as a true 5.1 headset but I think it is acceptable ! So think this virtual surround is good enough, you may need to think about buy a new 5.1 sound decoders that comes with vary price, if you are looking for a premium one, you may want to check out Creative Sound Blaster Recon3D, or Ear Force DSS 7.1 that starts from 80 USD. But like I said with around 139 USD you can get Ear Force X41, a true surround headset, so why bother spend so many times on headset upgrading, (or if you want an immersive experience try Ear Force Delta with around 180 USD and what you get is a premium & collectible grade headset !)

Which one to buy the active noise canceling with stereo system Sennheiser X320 headset or Ear Force X41, a cheaper price Dolby 7.1 Headphone ?, If you are looking for a good deal for Christmas gift for your friends or your love one or even yourself, before get these two best deal headsets, I think you may need to think about what is your lifestyle, or what is your headphone habit, how many hours that you have spend per day to play game, movie watching and how many hours that you listen to music ?, and also what is sound of your room environment like ? ,

like in my situation I use my Sony PS3 wireless headset for my 8.00 – midnight gaming in order to avoid a very loud pub in front of my house, but my headset is not a noise canceling so I hear some of disturbing noise break through in my headset and I hate it ! or even if you live with your roommate and they want to listen to music while you want to play games, I think if you are in this situation, the Sennheiser X320 might be the best choice, you may have to sacrifice a true 7.1 surround of Ear Force X41,
but what you’ll get from Sennheiser X320 is your privacy, a very calm atmosphere without noisy disturbing sound, and also you can use it for your computer desktops and laptops, but if your environment is very friendly with your gaming, and the reason that you are looking for the Ear Force X41 is to enhance your 7.1 experience, or late night gaming, I must say the Ear Force X41 is obviously a better choice for the Christmas deals, the best deals for the Ear Force X41 is 137 USD for a new one, and 108 USD for a used one, which in my opinion, get the new one, it is not that cheap for used Ear Force X41 !, while with the Sennheiser X320, it is a new released item, so if you want to but a refurbished or a used one, you may need to wait for a while, but for me, the 17% discount for Christmas deals is good enough, or else you can check the related gaming headsets on the right with a massive discount.

For Turtle Beach MW3 Ear Force Bravo, the plus side of this headphone is the limited edition headphone for MW3, if you are a fan, you might want to collect one of this (the MW 3 is the last game that designed by original Infinity Ward before the lawsuits), it come with bluetooth wireless, and virtual surround offering, with a little bit more expensive, if you are really a big fan for MW that need the graphic screen on your XBOX 360 headset, buying this headset is acceptable, but I think the virtual surround may not the best gaming experience, it cannot beat the true 5.1 headset like Ear Force X41.
For Tritton AX Pro Dolby, it is a perfect choice with an expensive price (even the set price is lower than the Tritton AX Pro Dolby but with its tiny 6% discount makes it more expensive), it is one of the popular for gamers and if the wired headset is not a problem for you, I think Tritton AX Pro Dolby also one of the best choice, but with the cheaper and wireless, why you want to buy the wired and more expensive one ? Both Ear Force X41 and Tritton AX Pro Dolby have the same 4 star rating from customer review section.
Here is my final verdict on the Ear Force X41 Black Friday 2011 deals for the XBOX 360 gaming headset, go for it ! it is one of the best deal during this Black Friday season.
