My update on PS3 Sony gaming headset review

It has been almost 8 months since I’ve bought this gaming headset, if you want to read my first impression no this PS3′s official gaming headset, you can read it here. Why I want to do an update review about this gaming headed, I think reached a point that I get used to this gaming headset and I have used all of its features and this is what I think about this gaming headset :

1. I have a problem with its volume control, I think it is too loud even with almost lowest volume adjustment, and I can’t do anything about it.

2. In term of audio character, I think it is too bright, but not as bright as “it could destroy your pleasant moments” it is ok for a gaming headset under 100 USD ! But if possible, it would be better if this headset comes with equalizer or even firmware update for equalizer.

3. For music listening, as you know this is not a wireless headset for music listening, it is acceptable for movies and games (I use it when I want to do a late night Netflix or when that movie comes with no subtitle or late night gaming), but for music listening, I think it is too blurry, you will enjoy a wide sound stage, but it lacks of a good focus, and I think a virtual surround for movie watching does not work at all !

If possible you should go with something serious like a true 5.1 gaming headset that could cost you around 200 – 300 USD, but if you are in a budget control like me, I think PS3 gaming headset  is an acceptable choice, if you don’t use it as your primary sound system.
