From my experience, if you play FPS like Call of Duty Modern Warfare, Battlefield, tactic TPS like Ghost Recon : Future Soldier, or TPS like Max Payne, it is very hard to tell a direction of enemies’ gunfires (this happened with Resistance Burning Skies as well, I cannot tell where are enemies due to its stereo audio system), and also due to the released of Amazon Instant Video, and many internet streaming apps on XBOX 360, I think add a little more money to gain a Dolby headset is a better idea, you can enjoy a surround audio system from movies as well as gaming, I think it is a good investment. So I think Ear Force X42 is a better choice than  X32 but keep in mind that this Turtle Beach Ear Force X42 is a virtual surround – not a true surround headset, if you want to buy a true surround you may want to check out a difference between virtual surround and true surround here.
